Great strides have been taken in recent years to restrict yields and essentially regulate the use of the term Reserva in Argentina. While the definition may be still a bit murky in the political sense, this Fabre Montmayou every bit lives up to its Reserva moniker in taste. Licorice and black cherry on the nose compliment blackberry and mocha on the palate. Notes of lilac and sweet vanilla bean weave through the flavor profile as well. Smooth on the lengthy finish, this well balanced wine is ready to be enjoyed now or will continue to develop if cellared. Enjoy with roasted and grilled meats and will pair very well with aromatic cheese platters.
