Mt. Fishtail Sauvignon Blanc 2014

IMG_0147

Marlborough, New Zealand is home to vast vineyards of perfectly ripened Sauvignon Blanc grapes. It is also the location of Mt. Fishtail and the infamous alluvial soils that impart dramatic flavor into the wines of this area. It couldn’t be more appropriate that this wine carries the Mt. Fishtail moniker as it excellently conveys the quintessential aromas and flavors so apparent in wines of this region. A fragrant bouquet of grass and passionfruit tantalize the nose while zesty flavors of ripe tropical fruits are balanced with mild sea salt notes. This is a crisp refreshing wine that will pair well with light fish dishes or will hold its own next to more flavorful sauces and salsas.
