Pelligrini Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

IMG_1159

This wine hails from Alexander Valley, an inland area in Sonoma County known for its warm growing season that results in big fleshy textured Cabernets. Despite the dramatic mouthfeel of this wine, it features a soft elegant finish which contributes to its ranking as medium bodied. Earthy wood and spicebox aromas fill the bouquet while blackberry and pit fruits flavors dominate the palate. This wine will continue to age and develop but best to drink within the next decade at most. Enjoy this with barbequed foods, aged cuts of beef and spiced or preserved meats.
