The Santa Ynez Valley in the Central Coast of California is a large region that encompasses diverse terroir and grows a wide variety of grapes very well. So, it is no surprise this locally grown Grenache has caught Robert Parker’s eye and was awarded 90 points in The Wine Advocate. Red fruits and a slight minerality on the nose evaporate quickly. The flavors on the palate are more robust; however, with notes of raspberry dotted by hints of coffee. This wine’s stellar features are Grenache’s quintessential hallmark rugged tannins and quick dry finish that leaves a yearning for another taste. This will pair well with sushi and raw bar selections and will compliment creamy pasta dishes as well.
